Why Hedge exists#
Traditional betting asks you to trust a house: it holds your money, sets the odds, decides the result, and controls the payout. Hedge removes the house. Everything that matters happens on-chain:
- Your funds are escrowed by a program, not a company — they sit in a per-market vault until the market resolves.
- Prices come from a market maker, driven by what people are buying, not a bookmaker's margin.
- Outcomes are proven, not declared. Settlement is verified on-chain against TxLINE's cryptographic proofs of real match data.
How it feels to use#
You sign in with your phone or Google — a secure Solana wallet is created for you, with no seed phrase to write down. You pick a match, choose an outcome, and buy a position in USDC. When the match ends and the result is verified, winning positions redeem for real USDC, automatically.
The one idea to remember
Hedge never takes custody of your money and never decides an outcome. A Solana program holds the funds, a market maker sets the price, and TxLINE's proofs decide the result. Hedge is just the interface.
