Getting started

You don't need any crypto experience to use Hedge. Sign in with your phone or Google, and a secure wallet is created for you automatically — no seed phrase to write down. Here's the full path to your first prediction.

On devnet for now
Hedge currently runs on Solana devnet, so you'll be using test funds. The experience is identical to mainnet — it's a safe place to learn.

Step by step#

  1. 1
Open the app and sign in
Head to the Hedge app and choose Get Started. Sign in with your phone, email, or Google. Behind the scenes this creates an embedded Solana wallet tied to your login — there's no seed phrase and nothing to back up.
  2. 2
    Fund your wallet
You'll need two things: USDC to trade with, and a small amount of SOL to cover network fees. Your profile shows your Solana address and balances; on devnet you can fund it with test USDC and SOL.
  3. 3
    Pick a market
Browse live and upcoming World Cup fixtures on the home screen. Open a match to see the three outcomes — home, draw, and away — with their current prices.
  4. 4
    Buy your position
Choose an outcome and enter how much USDC to spend. The trade panel shows exactly how many shares you'll get (each winning share is worth 1 USDC at settlement). Optionally add leverage to size up. Review the ticket, then sign to place it.
  5. 5
    Wait for settlement
When the match ends, a keeper submits the result and the market settles trustlessly against TxLINE's proof. No action needed from you — and no one can settle it to a result that didn't happen.
  6. 6
    Redeem your winnings
If your outcome won, open the market (or your profile) and redeem — each winning share pays out 1 USDC straight to your wallet.

Meet Hedgie, your AI copilot#

Not sure what to back? Hedgie is an AI assistant built into the app. It reads the live markets and can:

  • Explain the odds and point out favourites or value.
  • Answer questions about how Hedge works.
  • Build a trade ticket for you — which you still review and sign yourself, so you're always in control.
You're always the one who signs
Hedgie can propose a position, but it can never place a trade on its own. Every transaction requires your signature.

Want to earn instead of trade?#

You can also provide liquidity. Deposit USDC from the Liquidity section to help seed markets and back the leverage other traders use. See Liquidity for how principal is protected.

A note on risk
Predictions can lose. Leverage increases both your potential upside and how much of your margin is at stake. Only put in what you're comfortable risking, and consider starting at 1x while you learn.
